In January 2021, ATI was selected by BHP as one of the participants to advance under an initiative called the “BHP Tailings Challenge” to promote innovative solutions for repurposing copper tailings.
ATI is participating in the initiative as a consortium with AMPI.
ATI will conduct scoping work during 1H 2021 to investigate the potential to repurpose tailings from one of BHP’s copper mines, including conducting plant and laboratory test work, and economic evaluation.
